Hello!
Christmas is
approaching and once again, the Scandinavian students at AAS will be performing
in a Lucia pageant for the entire school. This year, it will take place on
Friday, 13 December, with performances
as follows:
Middle School 11.25
High School 12.05
Elementary School
14.00
The high school
students will now be having exams before
the Christmas break, which puts a bit more pressure on the kids to practice and
organize Lucia. So, Anna Bril and I have stepped in as organizers.
At this point, we
would just like to make you aware of the practice times, which will be every
Monday (Nov 25, Dec 2, Dec 9) and Wednesday (20 Nov, 27 Nov, 4 Dec and 11 Dec)
in
the elementary school music room 2032,
from 15.45 until 16.45.
First practice will be this Wednesday 20 November. This is a very important tradition at AAS,
so we hope as many as possible will participate from our fantastic Scandinavian
community!
At this point, please
reply with the name(s) of your kids who will be participating and the date(s)
your kid(s) can attend rehearsal. It is not necessary to attend every
rehearsal, but please try to attend as many as you can! The song lyrics will be
distributed on Wednesday so that you can start practicing also at home.
The picture shows the
costume options that you may choose from: Lucia/tärna, stjärngosse,
pepparkaksgubbe/gumma and tomte. If you have extra of these costumes to loan
out, or if you are in need of a costume, please let me know (which type, size…)
and I will try to sort it out.
I would appreciate if
you would let me know of your intentions for participating before the first
rehearsal this Wednesday. Let me know if you have any questions!
